The Gorge of the Dadès
Valley of the Roses and thousand Kasbahs is the name of the region between Ouarzazate and Boumalne de Dadès, passing by the Lake of Ouarzazate, the palm grove and the Kasbah of Skoura up until El Kelâa M’Gouna, the capital of roses. On a length of 170 kilometres unfolds one of the most extraordinary landscapes throughout Morocco. Pinched in between the mountain ranges of the Jebel Sarhro and the High Atlas the Wadi Dadès flows through an arid and desert like countryside. On its journey the river creates a range of oases. Be enchanted by those fortified villages and a valley garnished with old Kasbahs! The most outstanding is the Kasbah of Aït Youl, situated in front of an impressive rock face formed like the fingers of a hand. After arrival treat
