M’hamid – 2 days / 1 night

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Valley of the Drâa – Zagora – M’hamid

The journey starts in the morning by leaving Ouarzazate over the Tizi n’Tinifift pass in direction of M’hamid. On the way we stop at the Grand Canyon of Aït Saouen, where you can enjoy the breathtaking view. While driving to Zagora we pass by the valley of the Drâa with its impressive palm groves. The programme includes a visit of the well known Kasbah of Tamnougalt. After driving over desert like plateaus we reach M’hamid. Afterwards you ride on a dromedary into the sunset (time: approximately 1.5 to 2 hours). Dinner and overnight stay in nomad tents in the dunes. (the camp is fully equipped with carpets, mattresses, sheets and lanterns).

Day 2: M’hamid – Zagora – Ouarzazate

In this morning you raise very early – but it’s worth it, only then you can enjoy the fascinating sunset in the dunes. After breakfast you return to M’hamid by dromedary. By car we continue to Tamgroute for a visit of the old Zaouïa, a cooperative for pottery, the famous koranic library and the underground city. The journey then leads us towards Zagora, among the Drâa-Valley we reach the Anti Atlas and the village of Agdez where we have lunch. Late in the afternoon you return to your hotel in Ouarzazate.
